Swar tracing worksheet in Hindi: how to set one up
You do not need a printer to make a good swar tracing worksheet. Rule four lines in a notebook, with the top line slightly darker for the शिरोरेखा. Then:
- Write one big swar in pencil with small dots, and mark a green start dot.
- Let your child trace it three times with a finger, then with a crayon.
- Draw the शिरोरेखा last, from left to right.
- Leave two empty boxes for your child to write the letter alone.
Stick to one or two swar a day. Letters with curves, like इ, ई and ऋ, usually need extra practice.
UKG vyanjan worksheets (with answers)

Three swar and vyanjan games for the classroom
Worksheets work best when they follow a few minutes of movement. These games need almost no preparation and suit both home and class.
- Stand up, sit down. Call out a letter. Children stand up if it is a swar and sit down if it is a vyanjan. Speed up as they get confident, and include tricky ones like अं and ऋ.
